What is the difference between a packaged holiday and a week-end?
A packaged or customized holiday is the combination of transportation and lodging (often including transfers). Thanks to this scheme, you are ensured to travel the way you like. You just need to choose your destination and time period and we custom make a trip for you, y. If you select a week-end or short holiday, you choose your destination, time period, length of stay, airline, flight schedules and your hotel. Services are more flexible on week-ends when the choice of destinations is wider. Therefore, if you do not find a package deal to your liking, do not hesitate to search among the week-end offers.

Why are "week-ends", "dynamic packages" and "flight + hotel" combined under the same heading?
Those three terms refer to the same product, i.e. a customized trip. Thanks to the combination of hotel offers from Frantour, Accor, Best Western and Fastbooking with the airlines, partners of Govolo, the “dynamic package� permits to custom-make a holiday in real time, at the best prices and without restrictions.

After you have entered your requirements (dates, number of passengers, cities of departure and arrival) the search engine displays a selection of flights and hotels according to availaibility and your pricing requirements, going from the least expensive to the dearest. The final decision is your responsibility.

This technological breakthrough of GOVOLO/FRANTOUR permits web users to view a selection of more than 10,000 hotels dispatched over 3,500 cities worldwide + one of the most important air offers thanks to the combination of chartered and scheduled flights.

Is the length of stay fixed (2 or 3 days)?
In our customized packages, the duration of your holiday is an important matter. Over a week-end, however, the number of days spent is less important. You may change the default dates as you wish and choose to stay longer or less. Dates for this type of package are flexible hence allowing individual arrangements. Note that certain hotels require guests to spend a minimum of 2, 3 or 4 nights on a week-end in peak season and feat/special event periods (ex. Carnival of Venice). If you note a shortage in accommodations long before a popular time-period, do not hesitate to add one or two nights in order to get a wider choice of hotels - the period chosen may be subject to a restriction in guest numbers

How many people can travel together as a party on week-ends?
You may of course book as many people as you wish on a first-come first-served basis. Note however that you can only book one room at a time. If you wish to make several reservations, you must repeat your search as many times as necessary.

May I book a week-end with a child?
Yes, provided the hotel is equipped to accommodate the child.

What are the advantages of choosing a week-end stay?
Week-end stays offer a more flexible service regarding:
  • dates
  • the choice of destination
  • the length of stay
  • flight schedules
  • the selection of tourist services (flights and hotels)
  • prices.

What are the tricks to find inexpensive week-end deals?
Try to leave in the middle of the week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Normally those days correspond to the cheapest fares.
Avoid peak seasons. Low seasons are the best periods to get good prices. There are less people who travel before and after the high season.
Reserve your trip well ahead of time: this enables you to get lower prices.
Be flexible as regards your departure date: postponing or bringing forward certain dates permits to make substantial savings.
Study the various services supplied (i.e. breakfast, local taxes especially in the United Kingdom and United States)

If my flight gets delayed, what will happen with my hotel reservation?
If you are booked on a travel package, we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible so that we can request the hotel to hold your reservation.

Am I likely to lose one day due to my flight schedule?
No, since you have chosen your day and time of departure. Most often, you can choose among a variety of times.

2/ RESERVATION


How can I book a week-end?
Here are the various steps to book a week-end trip:
  1. Reserve your hotel: you pick your hotel among the ones posted. Not only can you do a screening by rate but also category or city name.
  2. Reserve your flight: Govolo displays a list of flights going from the lowest to the highest priced. At any moment during the booking process, you can view the total amount due (flight and hotel).
  3. Fill out the booking form with your full information (first name, surname, email, etc.)
  4. Pay for the transaction on line (secured payment by bank card).

What documents will I receive by electronic mail after making my reservation?
  1. Once you have validated your booking, you receive a confirmation email. This document shows your booking details with the fare and a file reference code (which you must keep carefully). That means that your booking has been taken into account. Your transaction will be validated once received a confirmation from your bank.
  2. We recommend that you read our confirmation email carefully in case there was an error in information (telephone number, email, names and surnames of passengers, etc). If that is the case, you must contact us and corect the data.
  3. Once the transaction has been processed and your ticket paid for, you will be emailed a debit receipt with your itinerary.
  4. Your hotel voucher, needed for checking in at the hotel, will also reach you by electronic mail.
  5. You will then receive your airport notification (chartered flights) or your itinerary (schedule flights).
  6. On the date indicated at the bottom of your notification/flight route, we email your electronic ticket which you will need for checking in at the airport. Instead of a regular paper ticket, you will only be receiving an itinerary by email, called E-Ticket.
If for any reason, the airline requires that we send you a paper ticket (as opposed to an electronic one), you will receive a regular ticket by the post, according to the instructions you will have given to us beforehand.

Please make sure to check your mailbox regularly before your departure date.

Until when can I reserve an accommodation?
You can reserve an accommodation until 17:00 hrs on the date prior to the flight departure. However to ensure availability and also benefit from the best offers, we recommend that you book as early as possible.

How can I be sure that my reservation is confirmed?
Once you have confirmed your booking, you receive a confirmation email. This document shows your booking details with the fare and a reference (which you must keep carefully). That means that your booking has been taken into account. We will validate your transaction after receiving a confirmation from your bank. Then, you will receive your hotel voucher and your plane ticket (either a standard paper ticket or an electronic one).

How can I change a week-end booking?
You must send us an electronic message through the page "my request/my booking". One of our consulants will let you know how to proceed. Remember to check our sales terms for the charges incurred.

5/ RATES


What is included in a week-end rate?
The week-end rate includes the airfare (airport taxes included) and the hotel price (including breakfast in most hotels and local taxes in hotels where they are not payable locally (USA).

Are transfers included?
For short and week-end trips, almost all destinations now offer “passes� entitling to public transports and reduced rates in museums or tourist attractions. In the principal destinations, you have regular coach or taxi services from the airport. Also, if you have booked a short or customized stay into a riyad in Morroco, we suggest that you contact our local representative, who will recommend a chauffeur as riyads are often difficult to find and even access.

Are there any special rates for infants and small children?
Reductions for children and infants, if any, are included in the posted rate.
