By staying a Saturday night at your destination, you will get cheaper fares. As an example, if you leave on a Thursday and come back the following Sunday, you will pay less than if you leave on a Tuesday and come back the following Saturday.

The earlier you reserve the lower fare you’ll get! This is especially true if you depart during peak periods (Summer, Christmas and Easter school vacations, holidays, etc.)

Try changing your dates by a couple of days, if you avoid travelling during holidays, you will get a lower fare. If the cheapest fare is sold out, search +/- 2 days.

A regular or scheduled flight operates all year round on regular schedules, whatever the season. There are also flights chartered by tour operators which travel to the top tourist destinations (the Mediterranean Ireland, Senegal, Reunion Island, etc.).

Today, there is practically no difference between charter and regular flights. Like scheduled fleet, charter aircraft are renewed on a regular basis and submitted to stringent checks. Scheduling represents the only constraint for charter flights, as flight schedules are disclosed one week before departure. For these, you will not receive a paper or eticket as for regular flights; instead, an airport notification will reach you by email one week prior to departure, advising you to report at GO’s airport desk to collect your ticket.

The earlier you reserve the better deals you’ll get, especially if you plan your trip during peak periods  (Summer, Christmas, Easter, mid-term vacations, holidays, etc.)

It is worth noting that you can ALSO benefit from good deals - if you make a last minute reservation. However, the choice of destinations and dates will be more limited.  So, if you dream of a specific destination and if your dates are fixed, plan ahead and book early!
